Teen Drop In Classes - Summer at City Dance Corps

Calling all dancers who have a summer break but don't want to lose their hard earned technique that was established throughout the dance year.  City Dance Corps is offering DROP IN classes for dancers ages 14 - 17 for the summer months of JULY and AUGUST.

From conditioning classes like Ballet Boot Camp to challenging classes like Contemporary, our summer schedule will keep you fit, trained and most of all, at the top of your game throughout the summer months. Return back to class in September better and stronger.

“Back In Shape for Back to School!”  Summer Intensive 2015

Aug. 17 ~ Aug. 30  (no Saturdays) Held at Dance Teq Centre, 226 Queen W. Toronto 2nd floor.  OPTIONS:  $1000* for both weeks, or $550* for one week

“Designed specifically for students on summer break from high-school or post-secondary dance courses who wish to be in shape and well ahead of the curve before their next term begins.”

Quinte Ballet School of Canada’s Summer Dance program

An Experience To Remember

Quinte Ballet School of Canada’s Summer Dance program takes place each July. The Summer Dance program is composed of two streams: the Professional Training Program (PTP) and the Open Training Program (OTP). Classes for both programs are taught by QBSC’s artistic staff and special guest faculty.
QBSC believes that versatility is very important for dancers today, thus classes are offered in a wide variety of dance techniques and style. These include:

  • Ballet Technique
  • Pointe Work
  • Boy’s Work
  • National Dance
  • Hip Hop

We will be holding our final audition for the SDI 2016 at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada on May 19th, 2016. We also accept DVD auditions!

SYNNOVATE - Youth Contemporary Performance Intensive

Point of View Dance Project is excited to announce our 2nd ever SUMMER WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE!  Our first summer intensive took place over 3 days back in August 2014.  This year we are going big!  FIVE INSPIRING DAYS in the heart of the Toronto Contemporary Dance Scene.

WHO:

Students who are seeking a not-so-typical workshop experience.  Must be willing to dive in, be vulnerable and face challenges!  This workshop will nurture the dancer who strives to dance in a company, but also stay open to other types of training and avenues in the Industry.  Advanced dancers with high level of training, ages 13 to 18.  Video submission required upon registration.

WHAT:

A challenging, diversified company training experience.  Classes in repertoire, partnering, improvisation, contemporary technique, hip hop technique, floor technique & creation!

Showcase for family & friends on the Friday afternoon at the Citadel studio theatre.  An opportunity and challenge to apply newly learned techniques & choreography in a performance setting.
