In 2012, events across Canada will mark the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and for this coming June, Luminato has partnered with the City of Toronto's Fort York National Historic Site to commission The Encampment, a large-scale public participatory art installation created by Thom Sokoloski and Jenny-Anne McCowan. In Luminato's "version" of The Encampment, two hundred A-frame tents will be set-up on the grounds of Fort York, referencing the bicentennial of the war.
