The National Ballet of Canada: Accompanists

The National Ballet of Canada, Canada's premiere ballet company and one of the world's top international dance companies, will be introducing a new, exciting program in the fall of 2013. This program will offer the Toronto community the opportunity to take a variety of dance and fitness classes in Toronto's finest studios, surrounded by Toronto's finest dancers. Classes will be offered to adults, ages 18 and up, and adolescents, ages 14-18.

Reporting to the School Director, The National Ballet of Canada is seeking experienced ballet class accompanists. Eligible candidates will have a minimum of 2 years experience, accompanying classical ballet classes. Experience as a professional pianist is an asset but not a requirement.

Required skills:
Minimum 2 years of accompanist experience
Music accreditation or certificate is an asset
Responsible, hard working and enthusiastic
Ability to accept feedback/constructive criticism
Demonstrated interpersonal and effective communications skills

Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
