Quinte Ballet School of Canada (QBSC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Artistic Director with a strong background in ballet and proven abilities in terms of creative leadership. The Fundraising Coordinator position is a full-time contract position, to be shared with SAMPRADAYA Dance Academy and Creations. SAMPRADAYA Dance Academy, is a premiere dance training organization specializing in the Indian classical dance form of bharatanatyam. SAMPRADAYA Dance Creations is an award-winning Canadian company. Rooted in bharatanatyam, it's strength is in its diverse innovative inter-cultural works. Both organizations were established by leading Canadian South Asian dancer, choreographer and teacher Lata Pada in 1990 in Mississauga, Ontario.

The Fundraising Coordinator will work closely with the Director, Management, and when required, the Board of Directors of both organizations, to raise funds and create partnerships on behalf of SAMPRADAYA Dance Academy and Company in a responsible and ethical manner. This position is responsible for: fundraising; donor relations; event planning and management; communications; media relations and public education, as related to fundraising
The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and coordination of fundraising tasks as related to the annual goals and targets set for the two organizations. While the short-term focus will be on the development and launch of signature fundraising events, the long term plan will be to establish a successful annual giving program.
Responsibilities
· Assist in setting realistic fundraising targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual cycle with the Director
· Develop and maintain a 3 year fundraising plan
· Draft key overall ideas and strategies for proposed events, new annual giving program
· Plan, position, facilitate and coordinate signature special events, annual giving program
· Prepare and monitor budgets and timelines
· Actively solicit donors/funders and implement initiatives to meet fundraising targets
· Grow revenues with existing donors through effective research, solicitation, recognition and stewardship
· Identify foundations and other grant opportunities to support program needs
· Develop and implement strategy for corporate partnerships and sponsorships
· Research and solicit private and corporate streams for sponsorships, gifts in-kind etc.
· Act as project link between Director and volunteer Board members
· Develop all marketing materials and event collateral
· Arrange and attend related meetings
· Act as primary liaison to venues, suppliers, community partners, volunteers
· Recruit and manage volunteers
· Maintain database of donors, ticket purchasers etc.
· Review and monitors progress of goals and actively report status updates
· Perform administrative tasks other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent training and experience in fundraising related field to demonstrate fundraising expertise - minimum 3 years of experience
· Proven success record in fund development within the not-for-profit sector
· Understanding of culturally diverse philanthropic models and markets
· Demonstrated success in personally building, developing and retaining strong, positive relationships with major public and private sector funders
· Effective oral and written communication and analytical skills
· Demonstrated computer database management skills (i.e. membership, donor/funders, etc.)
· Sound organizational skills; self-motivated; creative
· Ability to work well independently and with other colleagues and volunteers
· Has a passion for art and culture
· Has access to a car and is fully insured
· Able to work some evenings and weekends when required
Salary range: commensurate with experience

Job Summary:
The Canadian Dance Assembly is seeking a bilingual Communications Officer who will play a key role in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all communication activities. The Communications officer will be in charge of leading communications activities surrounding the yearly I love dance / J’aime la danse National Campaign. Other communication activities will include conferences and regional programming.
Responsibilities/Duties:

The Communications Officer will be responsible for areas of communications such as printed materials, communications strategies, as well as play a key role in media relations. 26 hrs/week will be developed in collaboration with the successful candidate to ensure a healthy work-life balance. A schedule of work will be based on the office’s hours of operation and program requirements and may include some evenings and week-ends.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education - A Baccalaureate degree in Communications/marketing or a related discipline from a recognized University, with a focus on professional writing, journalism, communications and public relations.
Linguistic Profile

Professional Experience
