PRODUCTION TEAM – CREWS ACROSS CANADA:

With the additional volume of registrations this year, we will need additonal staff on-site at each event:
1. Stage Manager: Ability to announce, play music back stage, stay on schedule, create a relaxed atmosphere backstage.
2. Online Adjudication Videographer: – monitor decibels on oscilloscope for sound quality, monitor video taping, trouble shoot.
3. Tabulator: Experience with adding machine, 100% accuracy and honesty; no room for error with over $70,000 in cash awards.
4. Security: Unique mix in 1 person; friendly with people, but assertive, strong character (not aggressive) with unruly clients.

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM – STAFF ACROSS CANADA:

As I gradually phase out of my role of DO-IT-ALL-ALONE, I will be hiring staff for administrative work for the following duties.
1. Data Entry: Ability to update mailing lists, e-mails lists, dance teams lists (10,000 dancers), preferably bilingual; knowledge of excel .
2. Desk Top Publishing: All souvenir programs have been designed with Corel Draw; open to staff with knowledge of Adobe or Corel.
3. Scheduling: Organize events to ensure an audience at all times, avoid overcrowding, set realistic time frames to stay on schedule.
4. Translator: Staff to translate English documents into French including e-mails, newsletters, website information.

All of the above positions require ability to work as a part of the team, learn quickly, and remain clear headed when the unexpected occurs. Bilingual staff are required for Quebec, and preferred in provinces with French speaking studios. Of course, we all have fun together doing what we love most so it’s not really work. I will supervise all staff. After 43 years in the workforce (graduated from university at 20), I have done it all including working with oscilloscopes – my first position was with the Dept of National Defense. I published research in audiology (DND secret classification) which gave me my next position as a Professor of Psychology at Mohawk College in Ontario, and later as a Training Consultant for Human Resources Development Canada. Now I do what I love, and have been doing it for 19 years, so you might say, “I’m retired” with a passion. Incidentally, I also trained in Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Modern (Graham and Cunningham) in my youth, and dabbled in jazz, tap, hip hop, salsa as an adult, and worked as a choreographer in Europe.
