BBK Showstoppers (a youth dance theatre troupe dedicated to volunteering for charities in the GTA) is looking for a Hip Hop and an Acro teacher. The classes run Sept - May on Thursdays in RH from 6:00-8:00pm. A teacher who can teach both Hip Hop and Acro is ideal, but candidates who specialize in either discipline will be accepted. Carousel Dance Centre is a large non competitive dance school with a strong educational focus. A Jazz instructor is required for full evenings (4:15-8:45) on Thursdays, four class levels ranging from 10 yr. olds to our senior advanced jazz class. The contract is for Jan. 1st until early June.

Carousel has an extremely strong faculty and professional positive working environment. The school has a focus on solid technical training and a strong emphasis on dance as a creative art form. Ballet RAD , Modern Dance and Jazz are the disciplines that are taught.

JAZZ TEACHER
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School seeks an experienced, full-time jazz teacher for its Recreational Division. This permanent, salaried position will commence August 1, 2012.

This position includes teaching 18 - 24 hours per week within the Recreational Division during the Fall/Winter Session while coordinating various annual projects. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the standard of the RWBS' jazz programs, working to ensure our students are receiving the best opportunities to develop their talents within the established standards of the RWBS. This will include maintaining and updating the RWBS jazz curriculum while working with the other RWBS jazz program teachers in ensuring the curriculum guidelines are being followed. Conducting regular pedagogical meetings with the jazz program staff will also be required. This position will also teach during either the annual Dance Intensive or Adult Summer Dance programs offered each summer; choreograph for RWBS student participation in festivals, conventions and competitions; and coordinate RWBS performance opportunities as directed by the Recreational Division Principal.

As a full-time salaried faculty member, this position will receive medical and health benefits through the RWB employee benefit program and be eligible for participation in other extensive RWB employee benefits opportunities, including a group RSP program, support for professional development, and more.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School is internationally recognized as a school of excellence. Over 1,000 students register annually in the Recreational Division taking classes at our Winnipeg studios.
