MOTUS O dance theatre is auditioning for:
"A CHRISTMAS CAROL"
"A Christmas Carol" will be performed at the "Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment - 19 on the Park" in Stouffville this December 18th, 19th and 20th, 2009. Here is your chance to perform alongside professional actors and dancers from MOTUS O dance theatre.
If you're interested in auditioning, here's what you need to know:
Audition Location - York Dance Academy, 10 Commercial Street, Stouffville.
Audition Date and Time - Sunday, November 01st from 1pm - 5pm.
Audition Requirements:
· There are parts for girls aged 9 and up, and boys aged 7 and up.
· Comfortable clothing and shoes are always a good idea.
· There is no need to prepare an audition piece.
· You must be registered in advance in order to audition.
· Roles will be announced at the first rehearsal.
· Basic costume items (black pants & white and black tops for all, and 1 or 2 small inexpensive add-ons for some characters) are to be supplied by the performers. Details will be announced at the first rehearsal.
· You must be available for all rehearsals and the show day to be considered for a role.

Kim Thomas Dance Project - Auditions
Kim Thomas Dance Project is a pre-professional performing dance company geared towards youth in Durham and the surrounding areas. It is located in Whitby, Ont.
One of the most unique attributes of our program is that there are no recreational dance classes offered. Our intensive weekly training classes are open only to members of the company and are taught by an excellent faculty of experienced and enthusiastic teachers. We offer ballet, pointe & pre-pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, stretch, conditioning and acro. Victoria Ballet Academy Canada is auditioning ballet dancers and students for the Nutcracker presentation 2009 that will take place at the Centre for the Performing Arts in Richmond Hill.
Victoria Ballet Academy offers primary and secondary school education combined with professional choreographic training of ballet dancers. The education process leads to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, alongside with the Diploma of a Ballet Dancer. The choreographic curriculum of the academy is based on the standards set by the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, St. Petersburg, Russia. The professional education is conducted according to the Vaganova method of teaching that has been probated in a course of decades and generations of ballet dancers.
