Call for Volunteers
Tziporah Productions is looking for volunteers for their upcoming performance the space between us running at Dancemakers Centre for Creation from June 19 - 22. The space between us is a new Canadian dance performance that fuses music, theatre, spoken-word and poetry into a fantastic voyage through space and time.

We are looking for individuals to assist with a variety of tasks.

Auditions for SOMETHING IS WRONG, Produced by Naught Theatre

Actors, Dancers, and Dancing Actors are needed for a new play, premiering the week of July 29th-August 3rd at the Pia Bouman School Theatre:

Something Is Wrong,
Written and Directed by William Rasitsan-Powell
Something Is Wrong is a philosophically driven play that incorporates poetic text and dance in a struggle to answer some big questions. It follows the story of Thespis, who feels that something is wrong, and refuses to have that question put aside by the forces he encounters in the world of the play.

Parts being cast:
Iris (Female, Age 19-30): Iris is a spirit-like force, something of a star falling from the sky. She is intensely open to the world around her, heavily affected by everything she sees and feels. She sees through things. She feels things directly and is excited and enticed by them. She sees and experiences the brightest and the darkest aspects of humanity, from moment to moment, relentlessly, and with great pleasure and enjoyment. She is a gentle lover and a savage beast. Her fearlessness and fiercely direct attitude are huge driving forces in the play.

Daemon (Male or Female, Age 20-40): The play’s main antagonist, Daemon is a keeper of order, a protector of the way things are. He is a powerful force, steadfast and cunning. He is provoked by Thespis at the beginning of the play, and immediately goes on the offensive, where he is quite comfortable fighting such an easy adversary.

Chorus (All ages and sexes): The Chorus is a group of men and women, impressionable and very powerful. They remain onstage for nearly the entirety of the play. Thespis is created out of the Chorus.

The Mad One (Male or Female, any age): Created from the Chorus, The Mad One is injured in a fight, and changed. For better or worse is a matter of opinion. She is the definition of manic,

The ages listed above are suggestions. Please feel free to audition for parts outside your age range.
All of the roles (with the exception of Care and Daemon) will require extensive movement/dance work, both as part of the audition process and the performance. We are looking for people comfortable with creative movement and the ability to work with dense, poetic text.
Auditions will take place on May 2nd and 3rd at Artist’s Play School of Dance.

Rehearsal will be 2-3 days a week for the months of May, June and July, with extra rehearsals in the last few weeks before performance.
The show will be a profit-share.

Polynesian Dream is seeking female dancers for their Hawaiian Show performed live at various events in the Greater Toronto Area and sometimes in other parts of Ontario, Canada. Shows mainly occur on the weekends. Having a car is good idea but is not necessary.
This classic Hawaiian Luau show combines traditional Polynesian dance with contemporary music while celebrating the the spirit of the Polynesian people.
Performers will work as independent contractors and they will work based upon their availability.

Seeking Female Hawaiian Dancers:
Dancers should have basic co-ordination and natural ability to dance. Those with dance experience (in any style) are preferred. Modern Hula and Tahitian styles of dance will be taught to you.
All ethnicities are encouraged to apply.
Please bring a sarong, and bikini top to your audition. A changing area will be provided.

Audition - junior dance theatre group of the Ismailova Theatre of Dance

Do you know any child or teenager who is interested in dancing and acting and is eager to train to become a performer?
Ismailova Theatre of Dance is opening it's 1st ever junior dance theatre group. The group will be an excellent opportunity for children and teenagers to learn dance and acting and will prepare them for performances.
The group will run from the beginning of March until the end of June with performance opportunities based on progress. After the Summer break the group will resume in September.

Students will get training with professional dancers and actors who not only are experienced teachers, but are also actively performing on the stages of Toronto and Canada.

No experience is necessary to be accepted to the group, but candidates must be passionate about dancing, acting and performing and be committed and responsible.

The group is not for profit with a cost of 50$/month.

This is a physically demanding job and all-inclusive resorts require clean cut, physically fit individuals to represent the resort. If the photos you send in to us are old and/or you’ve changed (new hair colour or style, new tattoos, weight gain or loss, etc...) since they were taken, you need to send in updated and recent photos. If you arrive for work at the resort and you have changed from the photos you sent in, the resort reserves the right to rescind the job offer. This is very important because the resorts need to make sure that you are clean cut and that you will match the style of the resort. They also need to ensure that you are in shape enough to meet the physical demands of the job as well as fit into their costumes and uniforms.
