SOUSATZKA - A New Musical, World Premiere

Hello Dance Teachers/Studio Owners,

Have you thought about taking your dance students and even their parents to a World Premiere Musical event?  I’d like to introduce the new musical SOUSATZKA and let you know how perfect this would be as an outing for your dance school to see professional dancers, singers and actors, many who are Tony Award winners, and even have the chance to meet with some of the cast or even the dance choreographer.

The show is fantastic for dancers or those who wish to be;  the South African sections of the show has amazing and uplifting dance choreography plus there are many other styles interpreted by 10-time Tony Award nominee, Graciella Danielle, CLICK HERE for her biography.  Here is a link to one of the numbers in the show which is called “All I Want to Do is Go Dancing” which takes place in London, England in the 80’s, CLICK HERE

I have attached the group brochure so you can see all the pricing at each level plus on the back of the brochure are some educational programs which you many find beneficial.

Multiple Tony Award®-winning producer Garth Drabinsky’s new World Premiere production of SOUSATZKA opens at the Elgin Theatre for a limited engagement prior to Broadway on February 25, 2017! ALL EYES ARE ON SOUSATZKA….to see this stunning Canadian production, one of a very few musical theatre premieres for our city.  SOUSATZKA is based on the original novel by Bernice Rubens and features a multi-award winning cast of forty-seven (47) and a multi-award winning creative team.  Set in London, England in 1982, it tells the story of a young musical prodigy, Themba (JORDAN BARROW, Broadway debut) torn between two powerful women from vastly different worlds; his mother, Xholiswa (MONTEGO GLOVER, Tony Award nominee), a political activist from Soweto, South Africa, and his piano teacher, Madame Sousatzka (VICTORIA CLARK, Tony Award winner), a brilliant eccentric from Warsaw, Poland who has a shattered past as a Holocaust survivor and refugee.  These two proud, iconoclastic women must ultimately cross cultural and racial divides to find common ground, or else put the boy’s destiny in jeopardy.  It is a profound fable for our times!
