Growing The Past: Moving & Being Moved at the Spadina Museum House & Gardens

Growing the Past offers a three-week summer intensive on the exterior grounds of the Spadina Museum House and Gardens, presented by Immer Collective as part of Toronto Arts Council’s Animating Historic Sites Initiative. Programming includes daily yoga training and movement classes facilitated by dance professionals, a weekly speaker series, and culminates in three days of contemporary dance performances.

Our second flamenco party workshop and get together at MBS Studios is on Friday, May 4th!
The focus is on improvising in street shoes.

All levels are welcome.

School of Groove SUMMER INTENSIVE | urban/commercial training program

School Of Groove is a dance training and mentorship program dedicated to nurturing strong and confident young female dancers. We act as a bridge – connecting dancers to like minded peers, mentors and the larger dance community. Our mission lies in giving emerging talent a holistic approach to the learning experience and the tools they need in order to refine their practice and find success on their personal dance journey.

Beginner Contemporary Workshop at In Studio

Beginner Contemporary
Drawing on both classical ballet and modern dance, this class explores total body movement. Our contemporary classes include strengthening floor work as well as engaging traveling combinations. This class is recommended for participants with no previous Contemporary dance experience. It is recommended that participants are currently participating in or have previous experience in a beginner ballet class.
