BALLET BOOT CAMP with City Dance Corps
Tuesday's 6-7pm taught by Tina, Artistic Director
Saturday's 10am-11am taught by Risa, health and fitness instructor with City Dance Corps
What is this class all about?
Ballet Boot Camp is a great class for adults or teens who have never taken ballet before. It is ballet technique but put to an amazing exercise class. The focus? Abs, butt, back, legs and arms, with ballet moves. It is a very fast paced class with technique being the primary focus, targeting specific muscle groups being the second focus. You can wear tight fitting clothes so that you can watch yourself in the mirror and see details. For footwear, if you have ballet slippers, that is good, or bare feet is even better. This is the perfect class to improve your general dancing, whether you are a Salsa dancer or a break dancer, ballet technique is the foundation behind any dance!
TAP CLASS, level High Intermediate
If anyone had a chance to watch the performance on Sunday afternoon, then you saw first hand how great Kelli is.

MAD FOR DANCE
1) WHAT IS FLAMENCO DULCE?

variety and beauty, but with reduced impact footwork. Flamenco is much more than fast,
furious footwork.
2) WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
- This class is for adults of all ages, both for women and men, who have wanted to try
flamenco but may have been concerned that flamenco might be too demanding for them.
- This class also serves as cross-training for dancers in other forms of dance, as it provides
them with new challenges which will improve their own dancing.
- This class is for anyone who wants to learn a beautiful form of self-expression, at the same
time building strength, grace and confidence.
See our website for complete details.

ADULT TAP CLASSES
THE CiTY CLiCKERS, an adult amateur tap group, invites anyone interested in improving their tap dance skills to join us for our weekly classes on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. We dance at the "advanced beginner" or "low intermediate" level, so some knowledge of the basic tap steps is required. We operate in 10-week sessions, breaking during the summer months. Cost for a full session is approx. $8-$10/class (dependant on the number in the group), payable in full at the beginning of each session. Those interested in "checking out" the group before commiting to a longer period may pay $10 per single class. However, given the cumulative nature of learning dance routines, we do encourage longer-term participation.
Our group is led by a talented teacher/choreographer. Our music selection is eclectic; something for everyone. Our efforts culminate in a performance at the National Tap Dance Day celebrations held each spring at Nathan Phillips Square. We also enjoy performing occasionally at local retirement/nursing homes.
If this sounds like fun to you, we'd love to have you join us. We have space for up to 6 new participants. First come, first served! Our location is the Mad for Dance Studio in downtown Toronto (on Adelaide between John and Duncan).
New session begins Tuesday, September 9th, 2008!
